New Blog Header

Ok, so I spent last weekend in Wisconsin visiting my family. Well, we had a birthday party for my niece (Hi Makayla...we love you!) and the party was at a bowling alley. Sounds like a lot of fun.....and for the most part it was.....except.....the second time my darling daughter was getting ready to bowl, she wanted to carry the ball herself. Okay, not such a bad idea...if the bowling alley doesn't have a step leading up to the lane. Bethany insisted that we couldn't help her. She tripped on the stair and landed chin first on the ball. Split her chin open and we ended up spending all but 10 minutes of the party in the emergency room. (Poor baby!) She had a concussion and a 2 inch gaping cut in her chin. Four stitches later and I'm sure the entire state of Wisconsin heard Bethany screaming. It took 3 of us to hold her down (wow, her 33 lbs sure came up with some awesome strength) They couldn't give her any more anesthetic than they did, and she felt every stitch. When we finally got finished and went back to the bowling alley everyone was waiting for us to get back because we had my nieces carseats in our car. Well, Bethany is fine now, just a little wounded that she didn't get to bowl and we have to go get the stitches removed on Friday. Thank GOD it wasn't worse!!!

On a brighter note, I was able to get my blog header changed this weekend.......no stamping done, but I think I figured out my new Photoshop Elements 6.0. Now the new task comes in scanning some SU paper and embellishments to use with it and create a SU! blog header. Hmmmmm. I got the elements for this from a digital scrapbooking kit SP ~ Promise Collection.

I also did get some of the cute little dove chocolate Easter Egg boxes that I saw on another blog done and will get them off my camera in the next couple of days and share them with you! (I had one in Bethany's Easter basket)

Back with a card and apology!

Ok, so I know I haven't posted for a little while. I am sooooo sorry. Life has happened and I seem to have been so busy lately. I have done some stamping, but I haven't uploaded anything from my computer. Today I had to make a swap card and knew I wanted to use Soft Sky and Sahara Sand. For some reason the colors just popped into my head. Have I mentioned that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cosmo fine glitter!?!
I will be on with more when I get my camera cleaned off and I also have some stampin to do for other things so I hope to be back in the swing of things now that we are done being sick. I do have to mention that because of Spring Break, I will have my 2 nieces (3 and 5) as well as my Bethany on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Hopefully I can get them to entertain each other and get some stamping in.
Let me know what you think.

A Simple Thank You

This card was created when I needed a quick and simple thank you card. I just love the Three For You Punch Box for simplicity on a card. I just wish I could figure out how to take better pictures and scanned images. Hmmmm.....

As far as the stamp share on Saturday, I went completely without swap cards. My hubby ended up having the flu so that meant that I picked up the slack and took care of him. I did learn and see many great things at the stamp share that I am hoping I can have some creative time to play!!!! I also just got my new Occasions mini stuff to play with.

I'm Back!

Hi everyone, I'm back from sunny Arizona and ready to stamp. We had a great time on vacation despite the fact that Bethany was sick the first 4 days and I got the flu the last 2. Hmmmm....there's no place like home.

I have a stamp share that I am involved in this weekend and have to make 3 different cards. In other words, I better get stampin' I will share them with you all either Saturday or Sunday depending on time.

The next couple of days will be spent sorting the bulk mono order I just placed 1440 pieces. It has to be sorted before Saturday and I also have to make the 3 cards (12 of each design).

Hope you all are doing well!

I'm Blue!

You Are A Blue Girl

Relationships and feelings are the most important things to you.

You are empathetic and accepting - and good at avoiding conflict.

If someone close to you is in pain, it makes you hurt as well.

You try to heal the ones you love with your kind and open heart.

This one I did!

Good Morning!

This is one of the projects I designed for my Hostess Club yesterday. My ladies seemed to have a great time. The other projects I CASED from scs. I do give credit to all of the beautiful projects I CASE. This card though I did. Can I just tell you how much I love the Cosmo Fine glitter......it ROCKS!

Card Details:

Stamp set: Nursery Necessities

Paper: Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Lovely Lilac, Flowers for You DSP

Ink: Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Many Marvelous Markers - Lovely Lilac, Tempting turquoise, Regal Rose

The cute little jolly rancher lolli covers

These are what I made for Bethany's preschool class. I found the pattern for these on Dawn's blog and fell in love with them. She is so talented. They are so easy to make. I haven't figured out how to show you the inside yet (I am no good at taking pictures). I did take some with all of the items together and will try to get them uploaded so I can share them. They hold a Jolly Rancher heartshaped lollipop. Thank you Dawn!
