Simply Masculine

This is the card I made for the "big shot/new punch" swap at Terri's stamp share today. I loooooove the big shot and we learned so many great techniques with it today. Thank you Terri for your fabulous creativity. I cut the card by placing my folded Chocolate Chip card slightly off the sizzix top note die so the fold stayed in place. I also cut the DSP at the same time for each card. One thing I learned, make sure that the DSP is facing the correct way on the die. It needs to be side you want up facing towards the die. That way the perforations go the right direction. I used Banbury DSP.

Stamp set: Say it with Scallops
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Banbury DSP, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Sizzix Big Shot, Vanilla Tafetta Ribbon, Top Note Sizzix Die

Printer FIxed and 1st Convention Swap

YAY! my printer is back....it didn't get fixed but we got a new one and an upgrade because ours couldn't be fixed.

Here is my first swap card for convention.....I am writing this at 1:08 a.m. the morning I leave for convention. Our plane leaves from Minneapolis at 2:35 p.m. I am soooooooooo excited I can't even tell you! This will be my first convention...

The Recipe:

Stamp Set: Fundamental Phrases, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel

Ink: Real Red, VersaMark

Paper: Night Of Navy, Whisper White, Real Red

Accessories: Silver EP, Iridescent Ice EP,

The night of navy that looks like the first layer is actually only there to show the edges of the card otherwise it got lost in the white background. The swap is actually white on the bottom layer. I will have to say I do like it with the N-O-N in the background as well.

Broken Printer/scanner

Okay so, the title should say it all....we have a multi-function printer/scanner/copier/fax and the LED screen went out last week. Which means, that I can't upload anything to my computer. Which in turn means, I can't post any new cards until I can scan and upload. I will be back as soon as I can. The guys at Geek Squad had to send it in to HP so it may take a little while.

I hope you all enjoyed your 4th! I know we did! We went to Canterbury Park to watch the horse races and then they have a phenomenal fireworks display. That was actually on the 3rd and we then watched our cities fireworks from our front lawn on teh 4th. My parents came into town and we had a wonderful time.

Happy Stampin'
